UPDATE: We used to always come here. We were a bit concerned about a year ago with the quality, but we are THRILLED to visit today. What an IMPROVEMENT from our last visit!! The Hot Dog Shoppe is back! New management? New ownership? Not sure, but the manager also told us that they are also going to have live music on Sundays starting Father's Day 2024 in the afternoon. I've been eating here since I was a kid. Now that I don't live in the area, I've made special tips to go there 2 and 3 hrs out of my way to get their hot dogs. best cheddar and chili dogs and cheddar and chili fries in the country in my opinion and the malts are the great. If you ever get the chance... eat there!

It's one of the best left. Great malt/shakes very good chili sauce. Safe dining room, close to the spakle that has crazy low meat prices ( Columbiana county) East liverpool? Also close to Mountaineer casino. Triple win!

We LOVE The Hot Dog Shoppe! It was worth the 7 hour drive back to my childhood hometown to enjoy! We had dinner there the first night and drove some yummy stuff back on our last day. My Mama has Alzheimer's but I promise you she knew the HDS! The chili was different, no question. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our cheddar chili dogs and our cheddar chili fries. Thanks for the amazing service!

The best cheese dogs I've probably had. We've been going here since I was a kid so I had to stop in while visiting family. Staff are friendly and the Cheese dogs and cheese fries are perfect. Shop is pretty old school inside, nothing to write home about but it's all about the food at places like this. The meal is pretty affordable, their #1 is 2 dogs, med fry and med soda and it's like 10-12 with cheese/chili or a combo of both. The hotdogs themselves are really flavorful. I personally like just cheese more than chili cheese but it doesn't mean it's not still good. The cheese sauce is richer than other places and has that great sharp cheddar flavor. Other places water down their cheese sauce too much in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

So pleased with our visit(s)! We had a come a year or so ago and it had gone downhill. That has all turned around. The new manager has made this restaurant the way I remember from my childhood. We live out of the area so coming home to this spot is very special to us. Thank you for a wonderful experience and great food.
